Diseases of TMJ (temporomandibular joint)

Temporomandibular joint diseases come with pain when opening and closing the jaws. These activities are often accompanied by cracking sounds which are a symptom of a movement of the so-called articular disc. Incorrect positioning of the disc causes a malfunction of the joint which in turn causes muscle malfunction of the head, neck and shoulders. Discomfort and pain which often resembles a migraine is felt. Many patients unsuccessfully treat this pain for years going to doctors of various specialties, from neurologists, psychiatrists and other professionals.
